Monday Trip: France / Brittany

Back in October 2009. We spent a weekend in Northern Brittany (west of France along the Atlantic Ocean) to visit the city of Saint Malo and the Mont Saint Michel. These is a beautiful area, I will come back there.

Monday Trip: France / Bike ride

No exotic destination today.

Just a little bike ride not far from my home to enjoy the sun. I hope you enjoy the artificial fur chapka of my daughter ... not very aerodynamic for cycling...but useful to protect the ears when it's cold (it was the first time she was cycling without her helmet). Well it was very pleasant.

I haven't done much this morning (it's Sunday morning...) but I finaly managed to hung the beautiful picture that Kristin had sent me at Christmas. Great!

Monday Trip: Sagrada Familia/Barcelona

Let's go to the Sagrada Familia of Gaudi.

This cathedral is still under construction. I had visited it 15 years ago and at that time there was no roof. Now yes!

The architecture is amazing, so different from what we usually know. 

Gaudi was a visionary and very talented architect.

Findings (useful and essential...) found in Paris last friday...

To forget the gray and sad weather of saturday, we went to see the cartoon "La colline aux coquelicots" of Ghibli Studio (sorry I don't know the english title). The decor and atmosphere of Japan in the 60's are really beautiful. The story is more classic than "Totoro" and "Le voyage de Chihiro" but the Japanese poetic atmosphere is still there.
