corner view / something difficult

Something difficult ... but not too much... choosing the right color(s)!

Our house door was changed 3 weeks ago. It's time to think about the painting because it's a wooden door with just a coat of white paint protection.

For the interior, I chose a dark gray (before we had a dark khaki). Not easy to find the right color with the old tiles from the house. Maybe I should choose a red lacquered ... too late, I started painting yesterday!

I started to paint the door yesterday, now I must paint the sides and top. I saw that I had left flow of painting, I must sand before the second layer....

Since we bought this house, I have always painted (the outer side) door in red because I like red doors! But it's over because facing the sun, the red becomes pink ...
After thinking a while, I opted for a dark turquoise.
Go to work!

corner view / bathroom & shower

Before / After
(but not finished ... unfortunately)

The first picture was taken in 2004 when we visited the house for the first time.
10 years later, the tub is still not "dressed" ... but I have high hopes that this will be done during the Christmas holidays ;)

Fast DIY

Two weeks ago, I bought a bag of pompoms only to use two yellow pompoms ... this was to make bee antennas for my daughter's disguise ...
So I decided to make a small garland of colorful pompoms with the rest that I can hang anywhere in the house. I like this kind of DIY: only 10 mn of "hard" work! Perfect for me :)

Have a nice week!

on my wall

Gift paper bought in London last summer, it became a poster in my office.
Have a nice weekend!

before / after

I was tired of the "baby green" of my office, plus there were holes to hide so it was time to do some painting! And now, I just need to hang one or two things and it will be finished.

This evening

We started to put candles everywhere in the house. Next week, the Christmas tree.
I wanted to put a reindeer, deer or elk in the middle of the mini forest on fireplace but there was none among the toys my daughter. So we chose a wolf .... after hesitating with a dinosaur ... mood of Christmas ... :)

DYE / australian aboriginal mask ... and also a little swedish

Why a so complicated title? Because if you bought the Raskog furniture from Ikea you will recognize (perhaps...) the package. As soon as I saw this package, I thought of a mask. I painted dark purple and I made lots of small circles with a small bamboo. For the moment, it's hung near the Japanese fabrics but I'm not sure it will stay there!

This is the famous Ik*a trolley on wheels...don't throw the packaging ;)

DIY

New poster in the toilet! The perfect place to review the human anatomy :)
I bought this poster (whose texts are in French...) in London.

New lamp hanging in the living room. This is a lamp bought in Stockholm even if the design is not very Scandinavian ... it's from Indiska shop to be exact.

Some gardening too. Change potted plants. In July, I won great gardening tools for my daughter on the very nice and fun blog Dos Family. She was happy to have her own tools. And the box (which contained gardening tools) has even become a home for Playmobil ... I don't have pictures of the tools in action or of the "strange Playmobil house"...
Soon, I promise!
