Another gray and rainy weekend... so I made cookies (Maria's recipe) to eat with tea, the best comforting way to forget that spring is still not there ;)

I cut apples, I cooked it but I haven't done the dough ...

Well, it works anyway because it remains just that little piece ;)

Here it is, the Christmas tree is done. We took out all our light strings. Now it shines and flashes everywhere in the house, Christmas can happen! 

This afternoon, I made shortbread...perfect with tea but not very dietetic...

The bad weather outside made ​​me want to cook salmon soup and make bread.

I love the smell of bread in the house, so good :)

Chinese food [1]

We ate very well during our trip to China. Vegetables, pasta, meat (pork, beef, lamb), soups ... it was still tasty. On the last photo, these are wholemeal pasta ...

BBQ Pizza

Tonight, homemade pizza on the barbecue for the first time. I found a recipe of dough on the internet but I'm disappointed with the result. I love when the pizza dough is thin, and it was just too thick ... too bad :(  I made a tomato sauce with garlic. I put the peppers, onions, mozzarella and spicy sausage. The set was good but I prefer pizza with anchovies / tomatoes / pepper / garlic / olive ... I will test it next time!

Oriental

Souvenirs of the birthday meal last Sunday. Preparing couscous was long but the result was delicious. I think I will not cook a couscous before a year! What a work! The samoussas and the briwats were good too... and it's more easily to do :)

Sunday activities

Done! The door is all green. I managed to paint between two rain showers.This afternoon, I made ​​oriental pastries (Briwat) with my Moroccan friend. It was long to make it because we've done a lot. It's for a birthday that will take place next weekend. We will serve these pastries with mint tea. And for this birthday meal, we will cook a couscous. A big challenge for me... fortunately, not for her!

Kokosbollar

This noon I made ​​my first kokosbollar. Just by chance ... Initially, I had to make a carrot cake but when I started, I realized I didn't have enough carrots ... So I chose another recipe, kokosbollar.

I found this recipe on the Julia 's blog where she offers lots of very appetizing recipes (in French and sometimes in Swedish). Thank you Julia for this recipe, I tasted and I find it very good.

For tea time, my daughter and my mother will taste it and I hope they will like it! Wait and see...

Saturday

I cooked for the first time kanelbullar. We feasted with at breakfast. It's not too difficult to do, I think I do it again. This morning (all week in fact...), my daughter has invaded the bearing of the house and the top of the stairs to play with Polly Pocket and Playmobil. We bought these old Polly Pocket in a flea market. They are very well done, I love all the little details. This afternoon, I bought sewing patterns for me to do a skirt... next great adventure of sewing... :)
Today was a cold and sunny day. It's good this sun. I hope it will be fine tomorrow so we will go for a walk in the forest.

Waiting for Christmas dinner...

Last evening: aperitif with friends. On the menu, foie gras, goat's milk cheese, lemon pie ("tarte au citron meringuée" in french), white sparkling wine and red wine... That's all ;-) It was a nice evening!

Yesterday, I was invited to a Moroccan friend. She cooked a wonderful dish made of vermicelli sweet, chicken, onions, cinnamon, spices and toasted almonds. Is was really delicious. To eat with the mint tea, I cooked some almond candy (pralines aux amandes).
And after the meal, we have made oriental pastries. It was the first time I was doing that (it's a shame, I didn't take pictures...). These pastries will be sold on the market to earn money for our school childrens (for shows, tours, ...).
