Once upon a time a beautiful and exotic trip to China ...

In fact, not at all.

Last Thursday was a strike day at school so we decided to spend the day at the zoo.

We went to the Parc de Beauval located about sixty km from home.

This is not the first time we go there. But we wanted to see the giant pandas ("lent" by China) who arrived there two years ago (this is for that reason they built pagoda and chinese buildings around the pandas enclosure). But we wanted to see all animals of course. And there are lots!

Here are some portraits. This zoo is very large, it would be best to spend two days to see everything perfectly. I'm not naturally a zoo fan but I have to admit this one is a beautiful place. This is one of the best (or maybe THE best) zoos in France and even Europe, that's what they say ...

Botanical Garden

Last week I went quickly to the botanical garden to take some pictures of the greenhouse for my work. This garden was created in 1843, covers an area of ​​about 5 ha. It's located in the west of the city near one of the hospitals. I haven't visited all because I didn't have much time. I will come back to take more pictures when the plants will have more leaves, it will be nicer.

Batcat

A picture that my father made after seeing the photos of Yumi in the latest post.

The last picture made him smile and inspired him too.

Now we have Batcat alias Yumi ... or vice versa! Thanks dad ;D

Meetings

Photos taken at the Skansen park (Open Air Museum) in Stockholm 2 weeks ago where there are typical animals of Sweden (or not...).

In 2009, when I visited this park, I remembered the bears seemed cheerful and playing in the water. This time, the same. They climbed into the branches and playing in the water with a lot of energy.

When I saw the moose, I thought that nothing had changed since 4 years! He slept in the same place. Is he real??

The pig looks like... a (french) pig ... but I am not pig specialist either ...

And the cute leaping squirrel was my favorite even if he's not very "exotic"...
