This is a song I listen very often at this time. 

It's Jeanne Added (she's french). I saw her in concert last summer, it was very nice.

Festival

Every year I post pictures of the festival (Terres du Son) where I have volunteered.

So here again!

I have seen several concerts but none really got me excited. I enjoyed the French singer Izia and also Jeanne Added. But I was a bit disappointed of the two concerts I expected more: The Dø and The Ting Tings ... I found they had done their job but no more.

Maybe it will be better next year!

The book of Maylis de Kerangal is sometimes hard to read because of the emotion. A young man has died in a car accident and the hospital asked the parents if they are ok for organ donation. Times of sadness, questions of parents, their feelings, how to present this request to parents, etc ... full of difficult and delicate moments. "Repair the living" is the title of the book in French.

The biography of Marie Antoinette by Zweig is really good. Loved learn many details about the destiny of this woman. Makes me want to read other biographies of people living at the same time. I also want to go to Versailles .... it's weird but I have never gone there...

I'm from Barcelona / Growing up is for trees

Very good indie pop album. They'll be playing next week in Paris. I'll maybe try to go to their show but this is not sure for the moment.

I had seen this french band several years ago and I was looking forward to go back to their show because they're very good. In early April, they make a show close to home so I'll be there!

It's fun because this band has a career in Asia, especially in Japan and is almost unknown by the the French. They sing in English...is it for that reason? Much like another french band Phoenix. They're better known abroad than in France ... what a shame ...

I have already posted several times video of this Swedish band that I love.

I say to the French who are the biggest consumers (in the world) of antidepressants: listen to  I'm from Barcelona and throw your pills :)

I waited for a while their new cd and it will happen soon (end of March, I think).

 I hope they will come back for shows in France this year...

For now, here is their new song "Violins".

girls in hawaii

How last night was great!

The belgian band Girls in Hawaii was playing at the theater,

where usually there are the operas ... I love contrasts!

It was an unplugged concert of their old and new songs.

These guys are really talented.

After the show, I took the opportunity to ask them to sign my cd ... as a true fan ;)

Their style? Pop rock, with beautiful melodies often melancholic, sometimes euphoric.

Very hard to pick one song ...

Ultimately, I chose Jonsi. I love what this Icelandic guy makes.

This is also the leader of the great band Sigur Rós.

So today I chose the video of the cartoon How to train your dragon that I love ... maybe even more because of the Jonsi music ...

Maybe some of you have seen the movie "We bought a zoo"? He made the music too.

Festival

Like every year, I spent three days at the festival Terres du Son as a volunteer.

The atmosphere was nice despite the gray weather and rain ... I've seen many concerts.

My two favorite were Woodkid and John Butler Trio. Here is some pictures of them.

Here is a photo of the concert of M (a famous french singer). There was a huge crowd!

I haven't seen this concert because I worked ... but I had already seen a concert of this artist there 3 years ago and it was amazing.
