Where I live: roofs

Where I live, most houses have a slate roof. This is an architectural tradition for all cities and villages along the river Loire. The slate of our house are old and I think we will have to change them in a few years ... Yay! This is not good for the wallet! The last picture show the roof of one of our neighbor's house (they are several roofs in their house...needless to say their house is not small ...).

I took these pictures yesterday between showers of rain. Fortunately, because this morning it's raining again (yes, I know, I'm a little obsessed with rain right now)...  ;)

There is no really nice view from the windows of my home.

Especially at this time... the weather is gray, rainy and windy :)

Big problem today: I had no photo of meal or family dinner... so I took pictures of my cookbooks which allow me (sometimes) to make good typical family diner..... ;)

Monday trip: à l'hippodrome

Little walk to the racetrack this sunday afternoon where there were trotting races.

These horses (the French Trotter) have always been one of my favorite races. 

I think we will be back another day but I hope it will be warmer. Because we nearly freeze in the icy wind today ... Maybe we could run on the track with horses to keep us warm :)

Monday trip & more!

Yesterday we went to Paris to see our favorite Swedish band (I'M FROM BARCELONA) playing in an original place: the Batofar. This is an old lighthouse boat which is moored on the quays of the Seine in Paris. While waiting to go inside, we had little cold despite the beautiful weather. But once inside .... we had very warm!!!!

It was the first time we saw the band play in a small place. The time before, we had seen them at festivals, outside during summer. I think I prefer the smaller place, the contact is very good and the atmosphere almost electric! Their songs make me happy and gives me energy!

I took pictures but they are almost all blurry... everyone was dancing and jumping a lot :) maybe it's for this reason these pictures are blurry!!! Despite the fuzziness of these photos it reflect well the excellent atmosphere of this show.

At the end of the show we talked to Anna, it was a really nice time: Merci encore ;)
