Books
The first Ellory's book I read was "Seul le silence/A Quiet Belief in Angels" and I really liked it.
Vendetta is a good (big) book about the mafia in the U.S. (New Orleans / New York / Las Vegas) and Cuba but there are sometimes quite violent scenes. You tell me that it's normal for a story about the mafia ... that's right... ;)
I never read Stefan Zweig books until now. It was a mistake. Last weekend, I finished "La confusion des sentiments/Verwirrung der Gefühle" and I really enjoyed the style and sensitivity of this author. I just started another novel by Zweig "Le joueur d'échec/Schachnovelle,", and I feel this book will please me too.

Not easy to choose a photo reminding me of good memories ... I have plenty!
As I didn't want to make a post with 300 photos or more... I chose only one.
My daughter, when she was 5 years old, it was the end of summer,
at the Pagoda of Chanteloup (near Amboise city in Loire valley).

Need color today, the sky is so gray outside ... I have some very colorful clothing from Gudrun Sjoden (like leggings and scarf for example) I brought back from Sweden,

Everything seems quiet on the last photo ... but not. In reality, the house is full of works sounds and sometimes I have the impression the roof will fall on my head. There are three men on the roof of our house removing all the slates and part of the roof framing .... strongly in 3 weeks when all will be over ... I hope ...

3 books & a movie
These are the last three books I've read.
The book spy Ken Follett is one that most I enjoyed. The story takes place in England during the WW2. It follows a German spy who discovered vital information and could miss the the Allied landings...
The book was nice and poetic Sjon (is this a common point to all Icelandic writers?).
I was a little disappointed with the book of Anne B. Ragde. I loved the trilogy Neshov but in this book where the story takes place in the 60s, we are in a suburban building Trondheim where we see the daily lives of several families of this building. This book was nice but not exciting!
Last Thursday we saw RIO 2. My daughter looked forward to this cartoon for a looooong time. She loved it! For me, this is not my favorite cartoon! I thought the story was a little classic and I'm not very sensitive to systematic humor of this film. But I must admit there were pretty pictures and colors.
Here, the holidays are over and school starts again this morning...but the week is going to be short because next Thursday is off :)

corner view / something to celebrate
I'm a little late to participate in Corner View, but I was not there yesterday ...
Last Sunday was the perfect day to celebrate my passion for horses!
A hike of 17 km in the countryside in the morning and a small obstacle course in the afternoon.
This photo was taken in the afternoon with my hubby who was very patient to wait for until the end of this beautiful day ;)
