This weekend...

The weekend was busy, pleasant and warm. Friday night we go downtown to see a show of a school of oriental dance. A friend of mine was part of the show.There were dances of North Africa and of India. It was beautiful, my daughter loved it , especially the bright and colorful costumes ;)

Saturday, we enjoyed the garden make bubbles, play with the cat, cut and carved bamboo and prepared a good picnic for the evening.
It was a picnic organized by the parents of my daughter's school.

The children spent their time playing and running all night.

We chatted, ate well and drank good wine. One guy had brought his guitar and sang Spanish songs  (he's Spanish)... What a plesant evening :)

Today is the Fête de la Musique (Festival of Music) in France. Tonight there will be bands, singers, professional and amateur musicians who will play for free in cities, villages, cafes, terraces or in the streets.

Monday trip 21: France / Nice

Let's go to the south of France, in Nice on the Riviera in the Old Nice. It looks like Italy. It's a lovely area for dining in the restaurant at night. It's a particularly pleasant place except in July and August where there are too much tourists (but it's just my opinion).

On my kitchen wall there is a strange head...

but there are lots of other things:

a range, labels, drawings of my daughter, a Canadian panel, a photo, Japanese calligraphy, a Musée d'Orsay reproduction, drawings purchased on Ebay, a painting done by a friend, a (mini) painting by me, a picture brought from Cuba ;) a ski pass where there is the Pink Panther ...

Monday trip 20: France / Beauval Parc

For this Monday Trip, I chose to present an animal park. This parc is located near the Loire Valley, not far from Blois city (center of France). Generally I am not very adept at the zoo where we see the poor creatures confined in small enclosures. I must admit that this park is well done. The animals seem very healthy and are properly installed. There, we can see many animals, birds and reptiles. There was also a show with birds of prey that was awesome.

Sunday flea market

Walking with a friend, we met a flea market ... And here is what I found for 3 €.

The cups are in perfect condition but the suitcase must be completely clean.

Monday trip 19: Helsinki / Töölö and Kallio

Walk in the districts of Töölö and Kallio. It's a wink to Netta ;) These photos were taken last august. That day, we walked a lot. We visited the Museum of Natural History (I'll post pictures about it) and then we went around the Töölö lake to go in the neighborhood of Kuopio where is a very impressive and solid church! It was gray and it rained a littleso we drank a hot chocolate in a surprising ans colored cafe. It's a shame, we have not enjoyed from the terrace overlooking the lake near the pretty wooden houses ... another time maybe!

Quiet day spent with my daughter. Shopping this morning (my first Chanel nail polish), ironing beads, and reading magazines. There is a magazine that I like is IDEAT . Several themes are treated as design, architecture, decoration, ...

Fast sewing

I had a desire to sewing this afternoon! So I made ​​a nightdress for my daughter with a fabric full of hearts ... I had some technical problems with the sleeves  (it was the first time I sewed the sleeves...).That's why I didn't make close-up shots ;)
