Festival

Every year I post pictures of the festival (Terres du Son) where I have volunteered.
So here again!
I have seen several concerts but none really got me excited. I enjoyed the French singer Izia and also Jeanne Added. But I was a bit disappointed of the two concerts I expected more: The Dø and The Ting Tings ... I found they had done their job but no more.
Maybe it will be better next year!

pause

I need a break with my blog.
I lack motivation and inspiration, I must admit.
It may be "normal" after more than 4 years? I don't know.

Thank you very much to all those who come here regularly.
See you soon.

amsterdam 1

Back from Amsterdam.
This is really a very pretty city. Our stay was too short, one or two day more would have been perfect. We spent great time with Kristin and her daughter in a nice apartment we rent via Airbnb. It was fun to meet us again in another country :)
More pictures soon.

What a nice theme :)
Here we are! We will be next week in Amsterdam with Kristin and her daughter (from Li+Belle blog) !!! This is the first time I go there, I'm so happy to see Kristin again and to discover this city. Initially it was not expected that we were going there by car, but as the prices of train and plane tickets were really excessive, we chose this solution.
Pictures of this trip soon!

reading & music

The book of Maylis de Kerangal is sometimes hard to read because of the emotion. A young man has died in a car accident and the hospital asked the parents if they are ok for organ donation. Times of sadness, questions of parents, their feelings, how to present this request to parents, etc ... full of difficult and delicate moments. "Repair the living" is the title of the book in French.

The biography of Marie Antoinette by Zweig is really good. Loved learn many details about the destiny of this woman. Makes me want to read other biographies of people living at the same time. I also want to go to Versailles .... it's weird but I have never gone there...

I'm from Barcelona / Growing up is for trees
Very good indie pop album. They'll be playing next week in Paris. I'll maybe try to go to their show but this is not sure for the moment.

corner view / once upon a time

Once upon a time a beautiful and exotic trip to China ...

In fact, not at all.

Last Thursday was a strike day at school so we decided to spend the day at the zoo.
We went to the Parc de Beauval located about sixty km from home.

This is not the first time we go there. But we wanted to see the giant pandas ("lent" by China) who arrived there two years ago (this is for that reason they built pagoda and chinese buildings around the pandas enclosure). But we wanted to see all animals of course. And there are lots!

Here are some portraits. This zoo is very large, it would be best to spend two days to see everything perfectly. I'm not naturally a zoo fan but I have to admit this one is a beautiful place. This is one of the best (or maybe THE best) zoos in France and even Europe, that's what they say ...
