What color?

I bought this mirror (for the living) in a second hand shop but I find it a bit too austere and not fun (although I know a mirror is not necessarily funny...)!
I want to paint it but I am hesitant ... what color?
I thought the very light gray or blue-green ... not easy to choose ... well, the color of fireplace complicates everything... I don't like it!
Maybe I have to paint the fire place too????

The bad weather outside made me want to cook salmon soup and make bread.
I love the smell of bread in the house, so good :)
Have a nice week!

Corner view / spirituality

Well, how to illustrate the theme of this week ...
To summarize, I'm not a girl full of spirituality.
Not easy for me to talk about spirituality because I'm not religious (even if spirituality is not necessarily religious)
Why this song?
I don't know exactly...maybe because the singer (Sébastien Tellier) reminds me Jesus vaguely... I know, this is a bit a lot caricatured...
Don't understand a mockery but rather an evasive answer (a "pirouette" in french) to talk about this subject ;) ok, I know, I lack of inspiration today ....

Last reading

These are the last 6 books I've read.
In fact I have not finished yet "Doggy Bag" but it will not be long.
If you want to laugh, read the first one: "Le vieux qui ne voulait pas fêter son anniversaire (I don't know if the english title is: "the old man who didn't want celebrate his birthday"...). The original swedish title is: "Hundraåringen som klev ut genom fönstret och försvann". This is the same style of humor that Finnish author Arto Paasilinna.
Karitas and Zona Frigida were very good too. I read the Lord of the Rings trilogy but never "Bilbo The Hobbit." It's done! Now I'm waiting to see the movie next December :)

Forest

Second week of holidays for children in France. To start this week, we went walking in the woods a few kilometers from home. The weather was nice and the light soft. It's so nice that we decided to come back more often relax us in such place.

Movie(s)

Seen two films this week.
Their common?
Death!

In "Frankenweenie" there is a happy end but in "Amour" ........ not at all.

I am a fan of Tim Burton, I love the his fims atmosphere.
"Frankenweenie" is in the same style as Mister Jack.

"Amour" won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Festival this year. The actors play wonderfully but the film is absolutely ans totally sad ... In the cinema room, some people cried from beginning to end. This is a fim that I don't advise to seniors!

These are two good films that will not please everyone.
Voilà !
:)

Corner view / am I an artist?

That is the question ... but I think I can answer quite easily. I am "un artiste du dimanche" ("spare time artist" is maybe the best translation?). And I think  the "artist" word is a bit too pompous too! Maybe "occasional and eclectic illustrator" is better.

Photo 1: Small painting I painted after my return from Finland (Porvoo).
Photo 2: Drawing gouache realized long ago, very long time!
Photo 3: Digital illustration made for some of my clients.

China / Pingyao [1]

Stroll in Pingyao where we spent 3 days last August. It's a small town located 600 km southwest of Beijing, which is World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The historical center is surrounded by walls. We loved this place that keeps a lot of authenticity. It was a pleasure to walk through the small streets of this city. I think we took hundreds of photos, it's very hard to make a choice so I'll post other about Pingyao soon :)
