Still photos of Beijing :) No temple or pagoda today but a neighborhood located northwest of Beijing. It's an industrial area where there are plenty of galleries, workshops, outdoor statues, coffee shops and more or less craft. We spent the day with new friends from New Zealand met in the bus going to the Great Wall (pictures soon).

SupprimerWhat great shots! Thanks for sharing! So facinating! Would love to go to China someday!
RépondreSupprimerI hope you will go there one day Kelleyn :)
SupprimerIt is a hugely diverse (huge) country - do old and new coexist in harmony? (a tricky art that I've only ever seen the French really get)
RépondreSupprimerIf I take the example of Beijing, I'm not sure that the old and the new coexist well. There are old areas in the middle of the new areas but they remain separate. As many old neighborhoods were destroyed, now they rebuild neighborhoods in an old style. It's pretty and well done but it's not the same thing.
SupprimerThese pictures are very nice
RépondreSupprimerwonderful series ... love that one with the red monkey and the kids :)
