Back in Finland (summer 2010) in Lappeenranta in South Karelia where we spent a pleasant evening. This city is located by the Lake Saimaa, 20 km away from the Russian border.
That night there was music (classical, rock,...) everywhere!
We went to a very nice and cozy teahouse. I didn't appreciate this place as much as I should because it was really, really warm! Here too there were people singing and playing music.
We finished our evening listening to a concert of Rockabilly. My daughter totally loved it!...and was captivated by the young woman who wore a dress in accordance with retro music! Lappeenranta was a step before going to Savonlinna the next day.
Have a look at the Li+Belle Monday Trip to discover the magnificent Palace of Sans-Souci.

What an enjoyable trip. I really like the first photo. It promises peace and relaxation.
RépondreSupprimerAnd I like rockabilly - the clothes of the women are so great and the hairstyles of the men.
Beautiful pics, what a fantastic trip. Have a happy week!
RépondreSupprimerYour daughter must have seen so many places - and been to so many concerts:) She's so lucky!
RépondreSupprimerUne belle ambiance! Et le dragon de sable est grandiose! Bonne soirée!
RépondreSupprimerOh, lovely! Wonderful pictures.
RépondreSupprimerKristin: This is exactly what we felt before the Finnish lakes: peace and relaxation!
RépondreSupprimerHeidi: It was a very nice trip. I hope one day go back there... in winter, maybe! This must be so different.
Francesca: She was with us in Finland but it was her first "big" trip. She has very good memories of the holiday (especially swimming in lakes and the Rockabilly concert) :)
Swig : Et le dragon n'était pas seul ! Il y avait une multitude de "châteaux" de sable de toutes sortes ! Une spécialité du coin, semble t-il :)
Anki: Thank you!

RépondreSupprimerFCC : Plus jamais ! Une vraie cata sur moi :)
